AGM and Mini conference 2024

TomatoesNZ AGM 2024 and mini conference

TomatoesNZ is holding its annual general meeting in Pukekohe on 8th August in person. Please join us! Those travelling from outside the Auckland area can email me about a travel subsidy. The line up of speakers for our mini workshop cover important topics for all greenhouse growers:

  • Working together to keep nasties out of New Zealand
  • Controlling common greenhouse pests (whitefly, psyllid, russet mite, aphids & caterpillars) with biologicals as part of an IPM
  • Best practice hygiene for your greenhouse: the Dutch perspective

You will be able to participate online but to get the most out of the afternoon, please consider joining us in person.

Date: 8th August

Time: 12pm sharp to 5pm (including lunch)

Venue: Navigation Homes Stadium, Pukekohe

Please RSVP for catering purposes: https://forms.office.com/r/GR3nEd2bu

*At the AGM, the Board will propose a change to the TNZ rules. The reason for this is that the Incorporated Society Act 2022 requires certain aspects to be covered by entity rules that were not already present in the TNZ rules. The board has taken this opportunity to also make a few other minor changes for example adding that online voting will always be allowed at an AGM. Please see below for a copy of the proposed new rules. Sections that have seen significant changes are highlighted in yellow. There is also an explanation of the proposed changes for you to look at below – these cover the changes required by the Act and the proposed extra changes and the reasons for each one.
