Grower workshops on energy - register now
There’s a lot being talked about currently in the energy space. To help cut through the information, and answer some of your questions, we’d like to bring tomato and vegetable covered crop growers together for a half-day workshop on energy. We’ll update briefly on the government’s direction, then focus on looking at ways for improving energy efficiency in the greenhouse, and options for transitioning to lower-emission energy. Workshops will be held in both the South and North Islands. Topics covered will include:
- Energy efficiency measures for greenhouse growers
- Low carbon greenhouse heating technologies
- Sustainable heating from biomass and crop waste
- EECA industry decarbonisation plan, case study learnings and support
Presenters include Elly Nederhoff (Greenhouse Specialist), Bioenergy Association, and EECA (Energy Efficiency & Conservation Authority). There will be opportunities to ask questions, and time for networking over a light lunch from 12.30.
